Never Tie your Shoestrings Again with Hickies

I absolutely hate tying my shoes when I’m just going outside to take the trash out. If I wear my flip flops then my feet get wet (I take out the trash in the mornings). When I can’t find my flip flops then its my nice closed toed slippers. But then again, they get wet. After years of not tying my shoes my laces end up like this:

A few things. First, yes these are my actual shoes that I wear every day. Second, I know that they look horrible, I was raised that you wear your shoes until you can’t wait them any more. I think I’ve had these shoes about two years. Lastly, just look at the tips of those laces. We all know how almost impossible it is to get those tips through the eyelets. They end up frizzing up, like the ones above and ruins the shoe laces.  Very aggravating.

Instead of buying new shoe laces all the time, get some Hickies. What are Hickies? Let me show you.

Hickies is life without laces. The Hickies lacing system gives everyone freedom from the constrictions of traditional shoe laces. You simply place one through the eyelet and thread it to the other side. Pull it tight, and snap them. Done. You can adjust them if you want them tight, loose, extra lose, in loops and mixed. I personally have mine mixed. I alternate a loose with a straight (as seen in picture below).

Starting from the bottom and going up I went from the bottom and then to the third eyelet and then the same way on the other side. Then I connected them together. Skipping one in the middle allowed me to take the second eyelet and go straight across. I didn’t want them to be too tight or too loose.

My review

I absolutely love Hickies. Parents with small kids who have a big issue, like me, keeping their shoe laces tied need to get Hickies. Hickies come in different colors and work on both adult shoes and kids shoes. You never have to worry about tying your shoes again.
